This prospective study is part of the “Ethics and Social Dynamics” theme. It evaluates the effects of the epidemic and confinement on the grief of a loved one in France from March 2020. The prohibition, then the drastic restriction of visits and farewell rituals for the sick and the deceased can complicate the mourning process. Traumatic grief? Prolonged grief? Whether or not their loved one has died from the COVID, the experience of mourning without ritual can affect mental health.

Our mixed methodology aims at reducing, for the bereaved, the aftermath of global measures of prevention of the COVID spreading.
