Ian Gonzalez Alaña is an archaeo-anthropologist. After a double curriculum in Archaeology and History, he completed a Master’s degree in Protohistoric Archaeology and Archaeothanatology, allowing him to study unusual funeral and mortuary practices.

He then began a Doctorate on the same subject, while broadening the chronocultural context to Celtic Gaul. He is now specialized in atypical funerary and mortuary practices, as well as in practices related to the handling of the dead body. At the same time, he is following a master in Epistemology and Philosophy of Science.
